Our partner has created a medication management system that dispenses medication on demand, and provides access to a live pharmacist for medication therapy management via video conferencing. The Smart PharmAssist™ Kiosk is capable of performing all functions performed by a Retail Pharmacy such as prescription verification, insurance verification, finding the drug within the kiosk, count the number of drugs as required by the prescription, insurance reimbursement, and cost comparison to reflect profit or loss, labeling the vial with patients information data, printing medication instructions, and consulting with a licensed Pharmacist. Smart Rx Systems integrated the pharmacy software to make the whole dispensing process compliant with the current regulatory process.
The Smart PharmAssist™ Kiosk is a complete pharmacy-in-a-box, with the capacity to dispense 225 different types of medications with approximately 70 individual fills of each, totaling 17,000 prescriptions and over-the-counter (OTC) medications. Features include automated pill counting, live video conferencing with a licensed Pharmacist, barcode reader, biometrics, backend data collection, automated labeling, medication image capture, and automated remote insurance processing. The Smart PharmAssist™ Kiosk is an entirely automated system with override capability to manually control the dispensing of medication by a pharmacist.
The Smart pharmacy Kiosk is an engineering marvel and never breaks down. The manufacturer Script Pro maintains the kiosk 24/7 and replaces and fixes using a preventive maintenance program. The Kiosk is very secure, occupies very little space, and allows us to open a pharmacy within 125-150 Sq ft of space in a Physician’s office building.
